Hooray for Ang!

Well Angie is finally home! She has been gone for 114 days. Which by the way is too long! I have missed her like crazy! She flew out of Lima early this morning and then had a layover in Atlanta for a couple of hours. Her plane to Utah was supposed to leave at about noon but was delayed an hour because they didn't have a flight crew. I'm not really sure how that happens.

So me, Mom, & Lucy went and got a welcome home sign and balloons for Ang. Then at 1:15pm we left for the airport. Ang's plane was supposed to land at 2:30pm, so that gave us plenty of time. We make great time until we get up to 106 South. Then we hit traffic. We crept slowly along for about 30 minutes and then, it was a parking lot. We literally didn't move for at least 20 minutes. By this time, we knew we weren't going to make it before Ang landed. It was the worst feeling! I took my camera up so I could get pictures of her and her school group together and such. I just kept imagining her face as she came down and scanned the airport for us and didn't see us. Plus she didn't have a phone so we couldn't call her to tell her what was happening. It was awful. She ended up calling us from her friends phone and I had to tell her we were still pretty far away. I felt so bad.

Anyways, we got to the airport around 3:45pm. We weren't sure where she would be so we drove up to the terminal and then we saw her across the street. I jumped out of the car, ran across the street, and gave her a big hug. I got all choked up and was like 'I'm so sorry we weren't here!' It sure was great to see her! After that, we went to an Italian restaurant called Buca di Beppo in SLC. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend it! On the way back home, once again, we hit traffic. We didn't get home until 7:30pm. It felt like a long day!

Well I am so glad that Miss Angie is finally back home. We have definitely missed having her around here. Tomorrow we are going with Cali up to Jordan Commons to see 'How Do You Know.' That should be fun! Then we are having Ang-giving on Sunday. Basically it is Thanksgiving all over again, but it is for Ang so its called Ang-giving. All of the fam is coming over and it should be super fun. That's about it. Have a great holiday!
